У меня были очень трудные годы студенческие, когда я учился композиции в том же Гнесинском институте по теории музыки и по композиции, я как-то не чувствовал себя, ну, не чувствовал себя композитором. Я просто не знал, что делать. У меня какой-то был такой кризисный момент. Я просто не понимал, что делать, зачем делать, кто это будет слушать, как это все практически. И должен сказать, что когда я столкнулся с песенной областью, и какие-то у меня были друзья и знакомые, и артисты, и в эстраде. И я потихоньку стал сочинять такую музыку песенную эстрадную. Мне стало как-то понятно, ясно, что нужно делать.
