| Description |
English: Bristol Channel and Torridge estuary from Instow This view looks down the Torridge estuary towards Lundy (which is invisible in the haze). The town at the left is Appledore. Just below the centre is a sand spit. This was well-developed when the photo was taken in the sixties, but on modern maps and satellite views the spit is much further south and east. |
