Svenska: KOPP med fat. Kopp cylindrisk med nedre delen skålformig samt med bågformig rundstavig hänkel, fat skålformigt, båda på fotkant. Kopp: På utsidan: Framtill en linnearanka (Linnaea borealis) med fyra rakt uppstående blomstänglar i grönt, de tre vänstra med två blomklockor i brunrött, den högra med två knoppar i grönt, rankan grön med ojämnt flikiga avlånga gröna blad samt bruna rottrådar; runt brädden rester efter en guldrand. Fat: På insidan: Dekor som på koppens utsida, blommorna här i ljust rödgredelint, rankan jämte stänglar i brunt, bladen mera runda och helbräddade; runt brädden en guldrand. Glasyren invändigt i koppen något ojämn. Exportgods för Europa. Inköpt av Wilhelmina von Hallwyl, 28 januari 1898, hos konsthandlare H. Bukowski.Enligt uppgift (lämnad til Bengt Claudelin från Tycho Tullberg, Uppsala) har koppen tillhört en servis som Linné beställde i Kina gm. Per Osbeck. Linné var dock missnöjd med utseendet på blomrankan (Linnéblomman) på koppen. Under färden mellan Göteborg och Stockholm förstördes dessutom delar av servisen varför Linné sannolikt lät beställa en ny servis.Då blommorna på en del koppar och fat är av olika slag verkar den den senare beställningen ha utförts mer noggrannt. I detta inventerie nummer hör fatet till den senare beställningen medan koppen uppenbarligebn hört till den äldre servisen (blommmorna är tegelröda istället för rosabfärgade).Per Osbeck var skeppspredikant på ett av Ostindiska Kompaniets fartyg 1750.
English: Porcelain cup and saucer decorated in overglaze enamels. Qing dynasty, c.1750. One of the most beautiful tea and coffee services made for Sweden was ordered for renowned botanist Carl von Linneaus. The pattern shows a botanical drawing of the flower Linnea Borealis sensitively drawn in green, brown and pink enamels. A tea set was ordered by Linnaeus from China through Per Osbeck, who visited the country in 1750.
