Op de afbeelding worden legendanummers 1 tot en met 4 gegeven, maar niet verklaard. Ook in de tekst is geen aanduiding te vinden.

Volgens Valentyn was er aan de Maningaar rivier een Nederlandse handelspost. De rivier is waarschijnlijk de Manarara rivier aan de oostkust bij de Baai van Antongil.

The plate is taken from: 'Oud en Nieuw Oost-Indiën' van François Valentyn.

The plate features a key numbered 1 through 4, but there are no explanatory notes. Neither does the text feature any explanations.

According to Valentyn there was a Dutch trading post on the Maningaar River. The river is probably the Manarara river on the east coast near the Bay of Antongil.
