Summary
[edit]Description41598 2016 Article BFsrep18696 Fig1A HTML.png |
English: Electron microscopy of high-pressure freezing, freeze substitution of Singapore Grouper Iridovirus (SGIV) infected grouper embryonic cells (GECs) reveals the SGIV replication cycle. SGIV attaches onto a GEC at 30 min post-infection (arrowheads); scale bar = 1 μm. The outermost layer (top inset) around the capsid may initiate the entry process, which takes place through endocytosis (bottom inset, 1 hpi – hours post infection); scale bar = 200 nm. N = nucleus, Cyt = cytoplasm. |
