Wiki Science Competition is an international scientific photo competition |
General architecture
[edit]As proposed on meta e discussed with the current two main chapters sponsoring the event, WMCH, and WMEE, the competition fulfills two different goals.
- in odd-numbered years (2017, 2019, 2021) the competition is open and engaged to attract new uploaders and create networking in academia.
- in even-numbered years (starting from 2022, ...) the competition is based on the uploaded good/quality/featured images during the previous two years and the finalists of the "monthly photo challenge" and promote the best ones and also the best users with a continuous upload.
Local editions can enlarge their scope beyond multimedia as well, the international edition is so far based on video, charts and images but it might evolve in the future.
