Wiki Loves Earth (WLE) is an annual photo competition held locally and internationally during the months of May-July by Wikipedia groups and volunteers in different languages.
The main purpose is to collect photographs of natural heritage sites, such as nature reserves, landscape conservation areas, national parks and scenic areas to illustrate Wikipedia articles and other Wikimedia Foundation projects.
This is the 11th year of the competition and the winning photos will represent two categories: landscapes (including individual trees, if it is a natural monument) and macro/micro photographs (animals, plants, etc.).
Wiki Loves Earth for Albania and Kosovo will be held during July and aims to include the natural heritage and scenic landscapes of these two countries.
