Reason:
White background; no shadows within, but the light is appropiate, and... it looks juicy and delicious. -- George Ho (talk)
Support I prefer this one because it clearly shows the standard toppings (onions and pickles). Also, I think the color is better here. cmadler (talk) 14:06, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
The picture is very crisp, sharp, and clear. White background and no shadows, but... mmm... McChicken. -- George Ho (talk)
Support I'm not entirely satisfied with this photo -- I'm not a fan of the side-on view -- but I think it is the best we have. cmadler (talk) 14:09, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
This has the paper container that holds the french fries, also called potato chips and potato fries. Any other isn't that great -- George Ho (talk)
Comment In this image the French fries themselves are out of focus. I also think that although it helps to show the packaging, it is not so critical, because the packaging varies geographically (it doesn't look like this in the US) and has changed over time. Created MVR. cmadler (talk) 14:03, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
There is the superior image, file:Bruce Willis Comic-Con 2010.jpg, but I think this version is better because you see the top open area, while the superior one cropped out the top open area. -- George Ho (talk)
Reason:
There are two different pictures taken at the Comic-Con 2010. Either this or the other... or maybe the Live Free or Die Hard London premiere. -- George Ho (talk)
Support These both are equally good for VI but let me choose this one. Actually, I would prefer some photo from the 1990s but there isn't a good one.--MrPanyGoff17:18, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
As if I prefer the other candidate but this one gives additional information about the lagoon in the rear side. Alas, here the sea is not visible. -- MrPanyGoff
Reason:
This building is alone in Paris as a minaret, and very well known. The photo shows the whole monument, depicts how it is inserted in the mosque complex and is geocoded. Quality is good enough for a VI IMO. -- Jebulon (talk)
Support Although we have several daytime photos of the minaret, they all seem to present obscured or distorted views; therefore, for me, this is best. cmadler (talk) 09:52, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reason:
A very exceptional candidate and valuable for future derivatives, such as crop shots. -- George Ho (talk)
Oppose I find that the facial expression makes him not look quite like "him". Also, his head seems not quite in focus, and there is quite a bit of glare (e.g. reflected in his eyes, teeth, etc.). cmadler (talk) 12:29, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Support Even though the top of his head is cut off, I find this to be the best. It is well-focused on his face, the background is not distracting, and perhaps most important, the facial expression "looks like him". cmadler (talk) 12:31, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
This was taken in 1988. Someone here likes a picture from 1990s or 1980s. Me: I just nominate it out of people's favoritism. -- George Ho (talk)
Support I'm not entirely happy with any of our PB&J images (the excessive jelly oozing out of the sides here is a bit disgusting), but I think this is the best. cmadler (talk) 15:10, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose - Good alternative, but there are some very bright areas in this photo and she's in shadow. Those really bright flowers can be a distraction. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:07, 17 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Neutral I think this is a good photo, and probably the best photo in the category, but I am inclined to think that a more recent photo such as this one from 2010 is more relevant. I mean the scope is not Ian Gillian in the 1980's, the 1990s, or early 2000's. I will add that to the MVR. --Slaunger (talk) 21:26, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose I am in doubt if it is best to have a photo such as this for when Deep Purple was more popular or whether it is mre important to have a recent photo, showing what he looks like today. I am inclined to think the latter, in which case this one is not the best. --Slaunger (talk) 21:44, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
maybe not the best photo in the category, but more recent (2010) than other candiates and still quite expressive. Perhaps the most relevant present day illustration of this artist? --Slaunger (talk) 21:29, 16 June 2012 (UTC) -- Slaunger (talk)[reply]
You are right. Thanks for pointing this out. I somehow recalled the rules such that if you found a new candiadte for an MVR, which you thought was better than existing candidates, you could support. But on checking the rules, this is not stated anywhere. --Slaunger (talk) 21:43, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
