- Please make a test run. Do we really need to updates statistics every second? Once a day should be enough. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:52, 25 June 2013 (UTC)
- Lol. To clarify. It updates the statistics once a day. As it updates it updates one user per second.—cyberpower ChatHello! 17:59, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification. It is just editing sub-templates (like en:Template:Adminstats/AuburnPilot), hence I don't expect problems. -- Rillke(q?) 09:47, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- To be able to run this for a trial, I would like quick importer access so I can import the templates. Then I need a few volunteers to transclude the template so the bot will have something to update. :-)—cyberpower ChatHello! 12:17, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- This right cannot be given by administrators. Perhaps it's faster if you simply provide a list of templates that should be imported. Thank you. -- Rillke(q?) 21:46, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
- From english wikipedia, in the template namespace, adminstats. The subpages of adminstats to be imported are Core, default, raw blocked, raw created, raw deleted, raw ed+del, raw edit, raw modified, raw protected, raw imported, raw reblocked, raw unblocked, raw restored, raw rights, raw unprotected, and raw renamed.—cyberpower ChatHello! 17:59, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
- Done -- Rillke(q?) 07:52, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- Now I need some volunteers to use the template. Maybe a watchlist notice to advertise it's existence?—cyberpower ChatHello! 12:18, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- I'll create a watchlist notice as soon as I see that it works (at User:Rillke/Stat). -- Rillke(q?) 11:56, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

- Support approval for this task. Looks fine. -- Rillke(q?) 16:24, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- Looks OK for me, but isn't task itself is duplicate of ToolServer tool? Sure, there are issues on ToolServer and WMFLabs migration may be required. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:34, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Túrelio asked me whether it would be possible to make this template available so admins can show their activity on their user page. -- Rillke(q?) 16:24, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- Cool. Maybe I should port to dewiki too.—cyberpower ChatHello! 19:21, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
- I still think it's domain of tools like this. May be tool's API combine with one template is more reasonable solution? --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:26, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- The first link you posted doesn't seem to work for me. The second link directs to the edit counter I maintain. I'm not quite certain where your going at. Could you possibly clarify?—cyberpower ChatHello! 19:54, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- I wanted to say, that it's better to maintain statistics on WMFLabs then with bots. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:12, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- The task itself has been in existence since 2008. Take a look at the template history.—cyberpower ChatHello! 19:22, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- While I agree to this, there is still a difference in being able to put the statistics directly on a Wikipage so every reader is able to see them, or forcing visitors to do an additional click. This way, users are able to choose the presentation design their own. In the best case, MediaWiki would have some useful built-in statistic-parser functions or a cached page.
- Frankly, I am not a fan of these statistics, either because they do not say anything about the quality of the work a user does. However, this is the way administrative activity is currently measured.
- If I am honest, I think WMFLabs won't be a lot more "stable" than toolserver in future; at least not if they do not introduce excessive quota-restrictions. -- Rillke(q?) 17:21, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

- Support permission. At least I have persistant difficulties to even reach ToolServer since months now. Most often I get "no connection". --Túrelio (talk) 18:50, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- There was notice on multiple places (including Village pump) about moving tools from ToolServer onto WMFLabs. Will be good idea to contact your favorite tools author and ask them to move them. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:12, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
