The category contains both damaged wood and wood defects, which are similar but different notions: defects are about problems when processing the wood, whereas damages concerned living wood, processing wood and processed wood. For instance, knots are a defect, but not a damage, whereas rots are both damage and defect. The separation between damaged wood and wood defects should be clearer.
