Category talk:Basketballs
There appears to be inconsistencies in the naming of comparable categories. Category:Baseballs does not follow same format with balls at the end. Subcategories would need updated too. Category:Volleyball balls, Category:Association football balls, Category:Canadian football balls, Category:Gaelic football balls and Category:Australian rules football balls would all need updated as well.
Rationale is that a basketball is simply referred to as a basketball, not a basketball ball. Astros4477 (talk) 01:03, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

- i agree with moving Category:Basketball balls to Category:Basketballs too.

- @Astros4477, Auntof6, and Themightyquill: Subsuming earlier unclosed discussion on this topic from 2022: Commons:Categories for discussion/2022/02/Category:Basketball balls. It seems that discussion was pretty well in agreement as well with renaming to Basketballs. There was also some mention about other sports balls, but not much discussion.
Rename Category:Basketball balls to Category:Basketballs - essentially reverse the current redirect. Josh (talk) 18:20, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
