English: Nun chapel is a medieval catholic chapel of Turku Castle. It got it's present name from Catherine Jagiellon, who stayed a few months in Turku castle as Duchesses of Finland. She was catholic and used chapel for prayers with her personal priests. - Chapel was built a dining hall late 14th and it's medieval vaults were completed in the beginning of 15th century, propably as first rib vaults in Finland. Vaults were demolished in the 1790's. It was reconstructed in 1951-1952 to resemble the originals. Before Catherine's time chapel was called Monk church.
Suomi: Nunnakappeli on Turun linnassa oleva keskiaikainen katolinen kappeli. Holvi purettiin 1790-luvulla. Se rekonstruoitiin alkuperäistä muistuttavaksi 1951-1952. Ennan Katariina Jagellonican aikaa kappelia kutsuttiin munkkikirkoksi.
