This category may refer to different peninsulas in Iceland:
- Suðurnes or Reykjanesskagi (the Reykjanes peninsula) in the southwest of Iceland, see Reykjanes peninsula;
- its southwesternmost tip, also called Reykjanes (see: Reykjanestá)
- the small peninsula Reykjanes in Ísafjarðardjúp in the West-Fjords of Iceland
- a peninsula in the fjord Breiðafjörður, see: Reykjanes (Breiðafjörður))
and some others.
The reason is that Reykjanes means "a small smoking peninsula" and there are many hot springs in Iceland all over the country.
In addition, there is also a volcanic system on Reykjanesskagi which is called Reykjanes (Volcanic system).
This is a disambiguation – a navigational aid which lists categories that might otherwise share the same name.
