Lake Wombat Walk, Franz Josef Glacier, Westland, New Zealand, is a 3.8 km return walkway which leads to the kettle Lake Wombat, named after "Wombat Jack" Irwin, a gold prospector in the the late 19th century. It passes through rātā-kāmahi forest before reaching the lake which is surrounded by Hall's tōtara and rimu trees.
