The War Relocation Authority operated ten Japanese-American internment camps (euphemistically named relocation centers) in remote areas of the United States during World War II.
The preliminary process of Japanese American internment processing was administered by the Wartime Civil Control Administration, part of the United States Army's Western Defense Command.
