The Globe Store was a regional department store with its headquarters in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The Allentown store first opened as The Globe Warehouse in 1883 at 640 Hamilton, on the southeast corner of Center Square. About 1889 the store moved to 740 Hamilton when H M Leh established the Lion Clothing Hall at 640. In 1893, the store's ownership was changed to John Taylor & Company but it kept the name "Globe Store" when it moved to 701 Hamilton Street, the northwest corner of Center Square. The store sold a wide variety of clothing and dry goods.

The store was closed in the mid 1930s, becoming Whelan's Pharmacy. The building was replaced with a new 2-story building after World War II. In 2013, the structure was torn down as part of the PPL Center project.
