Deutsch: Steingut gehört zur Irdenware, die einen kremfarbenen Scherben hat und deshalb im Englischen auch Creamware genannt wird. Es darf nicht mit Steinzeug verwechselt werden, das zum Sinterzeug, nicht zur Irdenware gehört.
English: Creamware is a cream-coloured earthenware created about 1750 by the potters of Staffordshire, England, which proved ideal for domestic ware. It was popular until the 1820s. It was also known as tortoiseshellware or Prattware depending on the colour of glaze used.
