English: Oak poles located along the beach about 1 km apart and numbered. They might be used to perform measurements and also serve as landmarks for emergency services and recreationists.
Nederlands: Strandpalen: eikenhouten palen van 25 cm in het vierkant en vier meter hoog. Ze staan langs het strand op 1 km van elkaar en zijn genummerd.
Rijkswaterstaat gebruikt ze om metingen te verrichten. Ze dienen ook als herkenningspunten voor hulpdiensten en recreanten.
