English: The Alhambra Theatre (later Wilkes Theatre) stood at the southwest corner of Fifth and Pine in Downtown Seattle. Designed by Saunders & Lawton and completed in 1909, the building was closed as a theater in 1922 and completely remodeled for conversion into retail, first as Best’s Apparel and later Best-Nordstrom. The building was replaced by the current structure in 1973 as part of Nordstrom's new flagship store which occupied the entire length of the block until 1998.
