The Lloyds Banking Group imported two ex-Malta yellow route buses for use as floats in their element of the 2012 Summer Olympics torch relay. Both wore UK registration plates for the relay - SKR 616G and SKR 801G. The 616 bus was last used in Malta route service on the Maltese plate FBY 667 - see Category:Malta bus (FBY 667) for full details. The 801 bus was last used in Malta route service on the Maltese plate EBY 528 - see Category:Malta bus (EBY 528) for full details. Both have since entered preservation in the UK.

The 801 bus appears to have been the main vehicle for use in the actual processions, while 616 appears to have been a backup float, and seems to have only seen use in the static parts of the relay. Both buses were painted in a green and white Lloyds TSB scheme, while 801 at least was also painted in a blue and white Bank of Scotland livery for the Scottish legs.

Both buses were converted into floats by cutting a hole in the roof for a performance platform, and re-configuring the inside with tables and leather seating. 801 also had its rear extensively modified to form an open air platform.

As well as the registration plates and different rears, both buses can also be distinguished from the front by the size of the radiator grille (small for 801, large for 616).
