The organizers of WLM Russia would like to emphasize that they do not belong to any of the Wikimedia affiliates centered in Russia, nor are they affiliated with the Russian authorities who are directly responsible for the destruction of cultural heritage in Ukraine during the ongoing military conflict. We see our mission in documenting cultural heritage, especially endangered monuments, regardless of their geographical location and the political circumstances that they find themselves in.
