Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Persistent pestering of English Wikipedia administrators on Commons[edit]

In September 2022 you were asked on English Wikipedia to stop pestering English Wikipedia administrators on Commons about matters concerning English Wikipedia, and unconnected to Commons. Also one Wikipedia administrator asked you on Commons not to continue to post to him on Commons about Wikipedia matters. Despite those requests, you have continued to do the same thing, the latest example being on my talk page on 22 January 2023.
If you pester me on Commons again, or if I find that you do so to anyone else, I shall ask a Commons administrator to consider blocking you here. I may also ask a steward to consider whether to globally lock your account, which will mean that you won't be able to log in on any Wikimedia project. JBW (talk) 12:29, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear User

The file upload doesn't violate the CSD F6 rule. I haven't claimed, that the logo used in the image to be my own creation, anywhere. Also I don't know how to delete a file uploaded by me. If you think the rule is being violated then then you, yourself delete the file according the Commons policy.
