Hi Wihwang,

I have recently been re-organising the Commons:Stroke Order Project and am contacting you because you've shown an intereste in the (simplified) Chinese translation.

I joined the project only after the graphics contributors had all but abandoned it. My main interest is in organising the existing content, validating the main image variants (traditional Chinese and Japanese) for use on Wikimedia projects, and lowering the threshold for future contributors to join this daunting task.

I'm not sure if it is a good idea to spend a lot of effort in maintaining a translated version when there are no Chinese speaking members in the project (though a short introductory welcoming message to future contributors would be nice). I still wanted to leave you a quick note in case you might be interested in being involved with the project in any way. --Swift (talk) 09:58, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Swift, I agree that the translated version is spent less effort at first since members in wikimedia could read English more or less. It's not late to translate it when there're more people getting involed in this project.
I was attracted by the excellent stroke order graphics when I first saw them, I'd like to join the project whenever there's time for me to learn and make them. In the beginning, I want to use these already made graphics as much as possible(like in zh wiktionary), which make the contributors' hard work worthwhile and attract more and more people to see the wonderful graphics and get interested in the project. --Wihwang (talk) 11:39, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
