Image:Svalbard Flag.svg

You restored Image:Svalbard Flag.svg back in March with the summary "don't cut heads when you have a headache". On Commons:Deletion requests/Image:Svalbard Flag.svg you can see that the deletion debate was concerned with the copyright question. If you want to appeal a deletion, you should use the Commons:Undeletion requests and not just restore it arbitrary, when it was preceded by a valid deletion request.

You didn't say if you had any arguments as to whether copyright doesn't apply?

Supposed Svalbard flag

Hi,

I have been away for a while. I noticed Commons:Deletion requests/Image:Svalbard Flag.svg. But the image is still there (Image:Svalbard Flag.svg). I found out that it has been deleted, but then restored by you. I would like to know the reason for this. The flag has no connection with Svalbard. It has never been produced as an actual flag, but it's presence here on commons leads to it being picked up by other wikis as a symbol representing or connected to Svalbard. As I see it there is no sensible reason for having it here on commons. In addition it is not a free design. Someone owns this design as a work of art. Please delete it again. Witaj. Zamieściłem herb powiatu olkuskiego i po wstawieniu go do artykułu wyświetlają się orły z herbu województwa małopolskiego. W szablonie wyświetlają się właściwe orły. Podobnie jest z flagą, w różnych artykułach wyświetlają się różne grafiki. Kliknięcie grafiki w artykule otwiera właściwą grafikę, ale w artykule wyświetla się inna. Dosć to dziwne i zdarzyło mi się po raz pierwszy więc nie wiem co z tym zrobić. Przy okazji przypominam Ci o moim problemie z kontem. Pozdrawiam. Bastian 19:39, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

U mnie nadal w artykule Powiat olkuski wyświetlają się niewłaściwe orły. Teraz już tylko w tym, w pozostałych jest dobrze. Sprawdzałem w IE, Operze i Firefoxie, wszędzie to samo. I find the comment you have made on Siebrand's talk page here totally unacceptable. I have to tell you that if you were not such an established user I would probably have blocked you for such language - if it is repeated I will. Whatever your views on his work your words are totally unacceptable and you should withdraw them. Personal attacks solve nothing and your attack on Majorly via an edit summary was equally unpleasant. Czy jest jakieś miejsce do zgłaszania wątpliwych przypadków, ale nie od razu "nominate for deletion"? Z tłumaczenia babelfishem wychodzi mi, że zdjęcie wbrew opisowi jest chyba non-derivate (i nie pamiętam, czy nie NC). Nie chcę od razu nominować do usunięcia, bo zdjęcie jest fajne i dobrze by było, żeby ktoś to sprawdził... (a w przypadku negatywnym wziął pod lupę wkład uploadera...)
