File:Powelliphantapatrickensis2.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/User problems#user:VoidseekerNZ. This is in relation to an issue with which you may have been involved.

File:Powelliphantapatrickensis2.jpg[edit]

Please see my reply here Trade (talk) 23:19, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

im not sure what im looking at. are you telling me to email those people? i dont use email VoidseekerNZ (talk) 23:23, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm saying that emailing those people is probably your best option. If you dont have an email account then i cant do anything about that obviously Trade (talk) 23:30, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I would advise trying to keep a cool head in the discussion. While you are understandably very emotional at the moment, you just made a sharp comment[1] in reply to a user that has asked for your file to be deleted as a courtesy.[2] The discussion currently seems to be turning in favour of deletion, so I would advise stepping away for a few hours. The last thing you want to do is upset another volunteer who is supporting your position. From Hill To Shore (talk) 03:20, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
im sorry, i only just saw this. thank you. oops. VoidseekerNZ (talk) 03:51, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i hope i didnt say too much im not used to this sort of stress. i just go for walks and take photos. i hate this. VoidseekerNZ (talk) 03:52, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning[edit]

You have received multiple warnings that your conduct here on the Commons is disruptive. Please be aware that would include attempts to import en.wiki conflicts. You will be blocked if you continue to edit disruptively. Эlcobbola talk 21:36, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Let me put this in another way. Problems you have with users on English Wikipedia should be kept at English Wikipedia, not brought onto Wikimedia Commons. Trade (talk) 21:41, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
..... i didnt know these were here lol. i wish someone told me i had been warned.. as stated before i dont understand the notification system. i only just saw this now. also i didnt even realise i made that mistake that is not something i did intentionally.... i was asking in the main thread what happened :( VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:02, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
....... man i wish i understood your warning system was better. if i had seen this i would have stopped. i was asking inthe main thread what i did wrong... VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:04, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
is anyone there? what do i do now? trade...? do i just have to sit here and cry all week now... what happens next VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:09, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ahhhh i dont even know how to do the appeal i think i broke it VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:13, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want notify me of something you need to write {{ping|Trade}} followed by your signature (~~~~. Otherwise, i won't get any notification. You can use this method for other users as well. @VoidseekerNZ: --Trade (talk) 22:18, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Trade: hi there how do i send this reply to the appeal comment below? thank you for being the first person on this website to tell me how to do something. lol
"Hi there sir or madam, im not trying to deflect blame. it was my fault. i should have taken time to familiarise myself with the system. i was not aware warnings came through this page or i would have been watching clearer. i didnt know warnings were a thing, i didnt get warned before so i wasnt looking out for them. but again that is likely my fault for not familiarising myself with the website. all i want to do is defend my copyright which is a good faith and legitimate reason for being here. tehre are two specific places i know of where i can contribute to that. i hereby promise and swear only to use those two pages as they are directly reelvant to me and not touch anything else ever again on this website until well after i have demonstrated ability and competence in using them, which will be months from now if ever. i apologise wholheartedly and unashamedly. i will stop touching things, i should have learnt last time. im sorry. i just want to defend my IP in this highly stressful and upsetting time. i dont expect you to understand but that is the truth. i have never meant any malice and have received plenty too. i just want a quick resolution. please sir or madam i beg i just want to be able to defend what is mine. i hope you can understand and i solmenly promise and swear to no longer even engage with users i strongly disagree with and will stay to the relevant points because thete may be more relevant information i choose to divulge if necessary. thank you"
VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:25, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Эlcobbola: sorry to bother you sir or madam VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:27, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Elcobbola: on behalf of the user. VoidseekerNZ, just a note the correct user name of this person is 'Elcobbola'. 'Эlcobbola' is merely the signature he uses to sign off messages --Trade (talk) 22:30, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
my mistake sorry VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:31, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Again, COM:BP asks an understanding of the issue and a credible commitment to discontinue. Neither are on offer here. Blocks are preventative, not punitive; we are uninterested in contrition, especially when insincere, and we are well aware you believe yourself to be defending the IP--you've long ago ceased to offer substantive or helpful comments. Эlcobbola talk 22:35, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Elcobbola: what part don't i understand? that is a genuine qeustion. i am willing to learn and read about the things you need me to improve on. i understand that en.wiki issues need to stay on en.wiki and i am not allowed to forum shop. what part am i missing? i am asking because i genuinely dont know, not because i am trying to argue. im trying to be honest and forthright with you right now
for what it's worth, i have a large amount of one of a kind photos that are probably of a large amount of use to wiki. why has no one tried to approach me directly to see if we can talk about this and find an arrangement where everyone is happy. these insinuations that i have nothing to contribute to wiki are clearly false; we are directly arguing over a contribution that quite a few people have expressed desire to keep on the website. so if we can find a way through all this and people stop acting like im a bad faith troll perhaps we can find a resolution for everoyne that may even involve wiki getting more of my work. i never ruled that out. but nobody is trying to work with me here. VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:47, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
also hi again @Trade: regarding other accounts yes i honestly admit i was just looking at the sockpuppetry rules on wikipedia. but this was not in aid of breaking them i was reading what the rules were and saw i could not make accounts in this instance and as you can see i did not. iwas just seeing what the rules were. thank you for your concern VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:30, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. You should the DMCA option now that's it's impossible for you to edit outside your talk page. I am not an admin so i do not have the ability to do anything about the block or your photo. Trade (talk) 22:34, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i am not of legal age to enter into contracts VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:36, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I assume this applies to whatever country you reside in as well Trade (talk) 22:39, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yet they're old enough to have a son ("my son loves my snail photos, i may have left wiki open.") Trade, consider reviewing w:WP:DFTT and devoting your energies elsewhere. Эlcobbola talk 22:41, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
i was lying. i dont have a son at all lol VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:42, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock request declined

This blocked user asked to be unblocked, but one or more administrators has reviewed and declined this request. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not override the decision without discussion.

Request reason: "requesting an unblock for 4 more days or until the deletion thread is closed then i am happy for any blocks to be reinstated nder the express promise i only take part in the deletion thread and the direct user thread in ANI and do not touch anything else. i asked for help multiple times but no one gave it to me. and the i didnt see these blocks. i struggle so much with this website and i have no sources of help. i didnt even realise i had mixed up wikipedia and wikimedia again. :( VoidseekerNZ (talk) 22:06, 22 January 2023 (UTC)"[reply]
Decline reason: "The purport that you needed a warning of a warning ("i (sic) wish someone told me i had been warned") is risible, when you are demonstrably aware of this page and clearly are watching pages to the point of obsession. Also risible is the request to have "4 more days" to continue on as you have. If it is genuinely your contention, for example, that you do not understand the numerous issues with your editing, especially after the robust feedback you've received (including, apparently, offsite--"banned on discord"), then one can only conclude that you lack even the basic competence required to participate on WMF projects. COM:BP asks an understanding of the issue and a credible commitment to discontinue. Neither are on offer here. Эlcobbola talk 22:17, 22 January 2023 (UTC)"[reply]

Making another account to bypass the ban on either Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons is against the site rules and will result in the second account getting blocked.

I am NOT accusing of doing this in any way, shape or form. I am merely advising you not to do it. --Trade (talk) 22:27, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your licensed text[edit]

Hey, I wonder how it feels to know that everything you've ever written on Commons and Wikipedia is freely licensed CC-BY-SA 3.0. Your talk page text, your article contributions, everything is licensed exactly the same as the photo that was uploaded. And by "your" I mean everything attributed to this account.

You agreed to this license every time you clicked "Publish". It's been in the fine print all along.

If you really don't like this stuff you've gotten into, then perhaps you'd be interested in Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Courtesy vanishing. Elizium23 (talk) 23:41, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Elizium23 - "A courtesy vanishing may be implemented when a user in good standing decides not to return and for whatever reason wishes to make their contributions harder to find or to remove their association with their edits."
and further states, "It is not a way to avoid scrutiny or sanctions."
Does WP:VANISH apply here? -- Ooligan (talk) 20:50, 28 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ooligan I assume you are quoting from w:WP:VANISH, which you mentioned. That page emphasizes that the entire process is discretionary, reversible and comes with significant exceptions. Also, per your own quotes, it applies to users in good standing and is not a way to avoid scrutiny or sanctions.
This user is about the worst possible candidate for courtesy vanishing. Have you studied this user’s history? Have you read the unblock decline reason above and the closing statement (over 7 000 characters!) for the deletion request for their upload? Brianjd (talk) 01:31, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(On a more general note, I don’t even know if we do courtesy vanishings at all on Commons.) Brianjd (talk) 01:32, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(I didn’t see that it was Elizium23 who first mentioned courtesy vanishing. Perhaps my questions should be directed towards them instead.) Brianjd (talk) 01:35, 29 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Brianjd, @Elizium23@ - Yes. I have still not received any response to my question. Also, no comment related to the two relevant quotes from the "Courtesy vanishing" Wikipedia behavioral guideline and if this guideline is even applicable here. Thanks, -- Ooligan (talk) 00:48, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ooligan Are you looking for an answer from Elizium23 or from me? Because I think I have already answered the question clearly enough: there is significant opposition to granting this user courtesy, they are not in good standing and they are subject to active sanctions. So no, courtesy vanishing is not an option here. Brianjd (talk) 05:00, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
He's clearly not eligible, and so yes, I was mistaken. I failed to read the policy before I cited it here. Voidseeker would've avoided a lot of trouble if he'd vanished rather than trolling and socking, but it seems that trouble is now what he "seeks" instead of just taking his ball and going home. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Elizium23 (talk) 06:28, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
