Парк Хэхуачи

Не найдётся ли у вас случайно других фотографий, кроме уже загруженных? Хотелось бы посмотреть на 122-мм гаубицу с казны (дейстивтельно ли это китайская версия Тип 54 или случайно наш оригинал М-30) и/или на лёгкий танк Тип 63 в удобном для иллюстрирования ракурсе. Все имевшиеся у меня 8 фото данной техники (фото с номерами 3173 по 3180) уже загружены в Category:Hehuachi Park, так что никаких дополнительных фото у меня нет. Если вдруг занесет меня в Янчжоу в этом году, зайду опять в тот парк, посмотрю может танки и гаубица там ещё стоят. (Хотя вряд ли - 5 лет уже почти прошло...).
Согласно заметке в местной газете (刘冠霖 (Лю Гуаньлинь), 荷花池坦克 高射炮哪来的？ (Откуда в парке Хуахэчи танки и зенитки?), 2009-02-06), история этой техники такова. По состоянию на 2009 г, она простояла в парке уже лет десять. Местное управление военно-патриотического воспитаня (国防教育办公室 - нечто вроде ДОСААФ) с большими усилиями выпросило эту списанную технику в войсках, чтобы построить военно-патриотический парк; они же раздобыли и списанное военное судно. Однако построить военно-патриотический парк руки не дошли, и сухопутная техника (в 2009 г) так и стоит где мы её видим, корабль же на судоремотном заводе в соседнем г. Цзянду. [На другой стороне Великого Канала; я его сам не видел].
Я поискал по сети других фотографий этих объектов; ничего в желаемом вам ракурсе кажется нет, а что есть, то вот:

Dear Wikimedians,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category have continued to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.

Dear Vmenkov,

The 2013 Picture of the Year competition has ended and we are pleased to announce the results: We shattered participation records this year — more people voted in Picture of the Year 2013 than ever before. In both rounds, 4070 different people voted for their favorite images. Additionally, there were more image candidates (featured pictures) in the contest than ever before (962 images total).

  • In the first round, 2852 people voted for all 962 files
  • In the second round, 2919 people voted for the 50 finalists (the top 30 overall and top 2 in each category)

We congratulate the winners of the contest and thank them for creating these beautiful images and sharing them as freely licensed content:

  1. 157 people voted for the winner, an image of a lightbulb with the tungsten filament smoking and burning.
  2. In second place, 155 people voted for an image of "Sviati Hory" (Holy Mountains) National Park in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine.
  3. In third place, 131 people voted for an image of a swallow flying and drinking.

Prisoners

Hi. I'm slightly stuck upon your old edit and can't find where the original image is from. All other images from this set (1, 2, 3, 4) are about railroad. Are you sure? Any links? Figure19 (talk) 13:46, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Good point. I am not sure why exactly I made that edit in 2009; it must have been based at the data then available, but the original site (the Russian National Library) does not have the page anymore. However, the entire album can be found elsewhere -- http://andcvet.narod.ru/DR/10/sam1.html -- and I agree that the prisoners must have worked on the railway construction. -- Vmenkov (talk) 17:23, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Don't be confused between Shanghai Hongqiao Station and Kunshannan Station

The File File:Shanghai_Hongqiao_Railway_Station_-_platform_-_P1080122.JPG is the image for Kunshannan Railway Station; the caption, description and category for this file which described it as "the platform of Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station" are incorrect, please take a note to distinguish the diffence between the architecture style of Hongqiao Railway Station and Kunshannan Railway Station. Yes, the monument serves as a w:cenotaph for J.B.Crafton ( http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GScatid=128&GRid=8010& ), as well as, I suppose, an actual gravestone for some of his relatives. -- Vmenkov (talk) 05:22, 18 August 2016 (UTC)

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2016 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eleventh edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2016) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 20 April 2017, 23:59:59 UTC.
