ESPC[edit]
Congratulations for you success in ESPC!
Now as for your question. Prizes for local rounds were supposed to be organized by local organizers (I'm only in charge of the all-European competition; and sub-competition in Estonia). As there weren't any local organizers in Italy, then no prizes will be given out for the winners of that round in your country (i.e. there weren't an official local competition). But the winning images will go on to the international final, so I'll wish you luck there. Kruusamägi (talk) 18:10, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

Come annunciato torna con cadenza biennale il Concorso Europeo di Fotografia Scientifica. Quest'anno sarà mondiale. Rispetto alla scorsa edizione dell'evento, nel 2017 l'Italia ha una giuria nazionale.

- Intende dire se possiamo dare un premio retroattivo? Non credo. Possiamo citare la foto sui social, in queste prime due settimane stiamo facendo una campagna usando le vecchie foto e posso chiedere di inserirvi dei link specifici o dei tag. Ho chiesto a chi la gestisce di informare sempre quando viene messa una foto l'autore, così se vuole usare quella visbilità per link a qualcosa altro ci possiamo provare. Possiamo anche al limite quando organizziamo la mostra finale stampare anche alcune foto del 2015. Ma io come volontario coordinatore e la SNS-VIS come sponsor non eravamo coinvoltinel 2015. Personalmente, penso che non abbiano tenuto d'acconto lo sforzo italiano allora e per questo mi sono sforzato di creare un concorso strutturato adesso, con giurie assai più bilanciate. Anzi, questa volta c'è molta più Italia alla giuria internazionale come faceva notare questo articolo.
- Quest'anno, lo confermo, abbiamo premi italiani (non è messo troppo in evidenza perché stiamo decidendo l'ammontare, dipende da quanti ne vogliamo dare, ma i fondi ci sono e sono un numero a 4 cifre) e manderemo abbastanza foto alla giuria internazionale che è comunque più bilanciata della volta scorsa. Per i premi italiani non spetta a me fissare il valore finale, essendo soldi di SNS-VIS. In base al livello di upload penso si possa aver un'idea chiara su come ripartirli (per esempio in più categorie) e e vuole aspettare qualche settimana per saperne l'importo, vedrò di spingere in tal senso.--Alexmar983 (talk) 09:54, 16 November 2017 (UTC)

Dear uploader of European Science Photo Competition 2015 and Wiki Science Competition 2017, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2019 has started in the whole world. It is now completed in Russia (active in May), Ukraine and France (active during November), but it's still open in all the other countries.
If you want to take part where WSC2019 is still open, please consult this page. Only some national categories are associated to competitions with local prizes.
If you are an expert user, please consider that images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface.
Please keep in mind that there is a new category this year, i.e. "nature and wildlife".
If you already took part in a country that has completed its upload phase, please consider improving the description in English of your files (click on the edit button), since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them. World finalists will be finalized after March 2020.

Wiki Science Competition 2021 has started[edit]
Dear uploader of European Science Photo Competition 2015, Wiki Science Competition 2017 and Wiki Science Competition 2019, we would like to remind you that Wiki Science Competition 2021 has started in the whole world. It is now completed in Russia (active in May), but it's still open in almost all the other countries.
If you want to take part in WSC2021, please consult this page. Only some national categories are associated to competitions with local prizes.
If you are an expert user, we remind you that images uploaded within the deadline can be included in any case in their national category even if not uploaded with the main interface.
Please keep in mind that there is a new category this year, that is "astronomy".
If you had already uploaded a file this year, please consider improving the description in English of your files (click on the edit button), since such description is what the international jury will use to evaluate them. World finalists will be finalized after March 2022.
