Why removing these cats

Hi, First I wish you an happy new year 2023.

Why do you remove these two categories [1], two times, without explaining why?

Thank you for answer. --Benoît (d) 07:24, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Thanks, you too.
Category:Benoît Prieur in 2023 is a subcategory of Category:Wikimedians of France in 2023. The category does not contain any pictures of Wikimedians of France in 2023 (you), only pictures and videos taken by you which makes the use of the categories misleading. Does that make sense? @Benoît Prieur: --Trade (talk) 14:16, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
Hi :)
Yes I think pictures I took in 2023 is one aspect of myself in 2023, if I can say. Anyway I prefer don't want to argue and waste my time on such a trivial matter.
Best regards, ----Benoît (d) 14:27, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
I made a thread on the help desk about it. Hope the community can sort it out. Sorry about the revert. I forgot i had already removed the categories once before. Trade (talk) 14:36, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Brassieres in Stable Diffusion-generated secretary images

You added these images to the categories Brassieres in art and Women wearing black brassieres, but I don’t see any brassieres. (They were also over-categorised into Women wearing glasses in art and Women wearing glasses; I have removed the latter category.) Brianjd (talk) 07:56, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

File:Chris Dlugosz - mint hair (2451783403).jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Genre

Sorry, but IMO all genre items have the same level. See Revision of 725934859. It is not necessary to have black-and-white preferred. Thank you. --XRay 💬 19:23, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

I'm sorta unsure why genres can even be marked as prominent now that i think about it Trade (talk) 19:24, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
I feel the same way. Formally it is possible, but it only makes sense for the depict statements. --XRay 💬 19:26, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

Does File:" Winter" on the Frydd (1294994).jpg look correct to you? @XRay: --Trade (talk) 21:38, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

It's nice of you to ask. In my opinion, color (P462) does not belong in the list of structured data. The image is not black and white, it is taken in grayscale. (Even though the genre is called black-and-white photography.) "Winter" is a season that you can't see in the picture, but you can see snow. It's not in the depict statements, though. You can't actually see the meadow either. I honestly don't know what "Frydd" means, but you can't conclude that from the categories either. In the statements, the negative film with the glass plate would still be worth mentioning. The statements do not reflect the time, the photographer of the featured photo, or the originator of the scan or print. The source is also missing. There are quite a few discussions about the statements and new ones are added all the time. Others are virtually on a taboo list. As a side note, I do not set my SDC statements manually. My bot does that, but only for my images. I pull information from the filename, categories, descriptions, Q-items (Wikidata), parent category categories, and manually and automatically created configuration files. So all my images always have something from it and not the few that could be maintained manually. I use the automatism since I uploaded about more than 100 images. --XRay 💬 06:17, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

I noticed that the statements location and country can be set to unknown. Is this something that should be avoided? @XRay: --Trade (talk) 02:01, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

I'm not sure about that. I wouldn't bet it, but that doesn't mean anything. There are also categories with "unknown" in subareas, also "unknown location". May be you'll ask here. --XRay 💬 05:27, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

AC/DC usage

When adding instance of, use the more specific digital photograph instead of photograph (unless the original photo was taken on film). Senator2029 20:06, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

I think i'm better of just not using P31 for photographs. Trade (talk) 20:08, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Unused personal photos

Hi. I have closed a few of your DR's - in future you can take them as speedy F10 Gbawden (talk) 10:13, 27 January 2023 (UTC)

I hope it's okay if i continue making DR's for personal images that are in use. Trade (talk) 20:48, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

Sorry

No Trade, it's I that have to apologise to you about the tone in which I replied to you. Some time ago, I was having disagreements with another admin and the issue became - to say the least - complex. Therefore, I sincerely apologise about what I wrote you were certainly in good faith when notifying me of the missing attribution.

Kind regards,
Giacomo Alessandroni What's up! 18:01, 31 January 2023 (UTC)

Re: Questions at Deletion request

At this DR you asked why I tagged the file with COM:CSD G5 – this was due to that particular revision being both vandalism, and a copyright violation. Thus, it qualified for speedy deletion. Please see the CSD page for more information.

A vandal uploaded a new, malicious version of a file, and multiple users where reverting these changes. That is why you saw many revisions. Those revisions have been deleted from view now. Happy trails! --dsprc (talk) 23:38, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

Nude women

Hi, kindly please undo this batch. I tried to undo it via the EditGroups interface, but it keep timing out on me. bdijkstra (overleg) 17:49, 13 February 2023 (UTC)

As far as i can tell the images in the batch does feature women who are naked. May i ask why you wish to revert it first? Trade (talk) 21:14, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
The images are not the problem. The problem is that d:Q19960403 is not what you thought it was. bdijkstra (overleg) 23:10, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
Better now? Trade (talk) 23:14, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
Yes, thanks. I hope you'll more thoroughly check your items before future batch jobs. bdijkstra (overleg) 14:39, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Is there anyway to see if there are more images using d:Q19960403? Trade (talk) 08:36, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
Yes, via the Query Service. bdijkstra (overleg) 09:26, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
Category discussion warning

Unidentified cosplay by work has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category.

In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!

Strange category modification

Why did you change the category of File:X-Files Dana Scully Cosplay.jpg to "Unidentified female cosplay" when the cosplay is very specifically identified? -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:34, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

You seem to be doing a lot of that. If something is identified, it is not unidentified. These edits seem very inappropriate to me. What are you trying to do? -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 17:40, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
You also added Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/Blocks and protections to Category:Female cosplay. What's going on? —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 18:58, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
Accident. Sry. Trade (talk) 18:59, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. Regarding this edit please note that I for one am not attempting " public shaming". I see you working on Commons with lots of good energy, which I applaud. But sometimes I think you go in wrong directions - I ask why so I can help steer you in right directions. Maybe some English language category names are not clear to you - if you have questions, please ask. If I can be of help, ask on my talk page. Thank you. Cheers, -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 19:49, 5 March 2023 (UTC)

Female cosplay

Hi. Something went wrong with your Cat-a-lot edit from 18:54. A few deletion requests, user talk pages and COM:AN/B were put into Category:Female cosplay. I already undid some of the obvious ones, but I don't know whether any of the files are miscategorized now. TilmannR (talk) 19:55, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
