Pay attention to copyright
File:M89sr.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

File:Ancien logo de centrale paris.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Bonjour. Bien cordialement Tharkun (talk) 14:22, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

D'accord, j'ai mis à jour le fichier en conséquence. Tpe.g5.stan (talk) 14:46, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

About fake election diagrams[edit]

Hi, I found some election parliament diagrams that are actually fake and fictional, and are ready to be deleted. I suggest to transfer all of these diagrams to the Fictional election apportionment diagrams category, instead of delete them. Odnailro (talk) 21:13, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Odnailro.
Sure, is those diagrams refer to a notable fiction work (example : the Borgen TV series). Else, if the diagram refers to some nationstates.net imaginary country or have no justification to which fiction it may correspond, I think it is out of project scope. As you can read : Commons:Project scope/Summary, the diagram « Must be realistically useful for an educational purpose », which can be true about a fictional diagram for the Borgen TV series, but not for « Drusselstein Congress » (country that only exists on nationstates.net) or «  German Reich 2010 » (no uchrony was written on this topic ). Keep in mind that if you can't store a diagram with Wikimedia Commons, there are many free hosting tools on the Internet.
As I am quite a newbie on Commons, I will ask for the help of @Infrogmation: , @Gestumblindi: and @George Chernilevsky: , what is your opinion on that point ? Tpe.g5.stan (talk) 07:12, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi!
Useless fictional diagrams must be deleted as out of project scope.
With best regards, -- George Chernilevsky talk 07:22, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The "culprit" in most cases is a particular tool that makes it very easy to generate parliament diagrams and uploads them directly to Commons. So, if people are just fiddling around with this tool and testing it out, this results in many completely bogus parliament diagrams on Commons that have no relation to any kind of existing or even fictional country or parliament. In my opinion, Category:Fictional election apportionment diagrams is only for diagrams that relate to an existing work of fiction, such as File:Borgen Parliament - S1-S2.svg ("Fictional composition of the Danish Parliament in the DR1 political drama Borgen from Seasons 1 to 2"). But the vast majority are cases like Commons:Deletion requests/File:WSK Senat.svg where there is absolutely no use for the diagram. Gestumblindi (talk) 10:16, 25 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatroller[edit]

Hi, Tpe.g5.stan. You have made a lot of good work and your edits do not need patrolling anymore, so I just made you autopatroller. Thank you for your work in Commons! Taivo (talk) 15:16, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CfD closing[edit]

Thank you for using the CfD process to propose a change at Commons:Categories for discussion/2021/06/Category:Chamber of Deputies apportionment diagrams. I have cleaned up what was left behind after you implemented the change. In the future, please make sure to follow the protocol at Commons:Categories for discussion for completing discussions. Properly closing a discussion is necessary to remove tags and clear up the CfD logs, as well as ensure users have an appropriate chance to participate in the discussion. If you are not comfortable following the protocols, feel free to contact an experienced CfD contributor or administrator to complete the closure. Josh (talk) 08:40, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

VFC[edit]

For nominating multiple files for deletion (as with the fake election diagrams that you helpfully patrol), I highly recommend using Visual File Change. You can select files by category, uploader, or even by a search query. For admins, it's easier to delete a bundle of files in one nomination than to close a bunch of single-file nominations. Cheers, Pi.1415926535 (talk) 19:05, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot, I did not know that ! I have loaded VFC, and hope to be using it soon. Tpe.g5.stan (talk) 07:58, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good! The only thing I miss is the "cross-reference the discussion on the category talk page", see point 5 in Commons:Categories_for_discussion#Closing_a_discussion. This makes that we can easily find the discussion again, if need it later on. JopkeB (talk) 13:06, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
