Thanks for uploading File:HugoTicciati.aspx.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:HugoTicciati.aspx.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

I have already sent the authorization letter for those images.

Hello Saibo, I write you to inform that I have already sent the authorization letter for the images I have just uploaded. --Tlilmiztli (talk) 02:31, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

(above message is moved from my talk to here)
Hallo again Tlilmiztli, so are you the photographer? Only he (or the copyright holder) can give such a permission. Thanks for your help! :-) Just reply here please. --Saibo (Δ) 02:35, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and: of course this similarly applies to File:HugoTicciati.jpeg. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:38, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No the copyright holder accepted to donate these images to Wikipedia commons by filling and signing an authorization letter directed to Wikimedia Foundation, the one i have just sent to OTRS. Do you want me to send it to you? --Tlilmiztli (talk) 02:45, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, OTRS is perfect! Just asked to give you a quick response in case something is wrong. :-) If the copyright holder has given permission for all three files it is fine.
Just a hint for next time when you upload such images where you know that sending permission to OTRS is needed: Please place the tag on the files directly after or during upload (just somewhere in the description - doesn't matter where). That way we users who check new files now that those files are okay. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 03:13, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh great! Thanks for the advice and for all your help!! :) --Tlilmiztli (talk) 03:26, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Foreign cultures[edit]

¡Hola de nuevo! I just was a bit on your eswp user page. You write: "Para mí las diferencias culturales son muy importantes, pues dicen mucho de un grupo de personas, incluyendo su ideología y creencias." If I understand it correctly (using google translate) you like to learn cultures and cultural differences. That is one thing I like very much at Commons: all people work together despite having different languages and cultures as best as possible. Sometimes not easy - but it is great to see. If you like images, files and different countries then you will like Commons probably. ;) By the way: I am from Germany and will go to bed now - a bit late here... And just a tip if you like to chat: Visit the Commons IRC chat. I am also often there. Adios! --Saibo (Δ) 03:55, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! That's exactly what I meant, and I totally agree with you on your view about Commons. I like a lot the idea of people from all over the world working together to achieve a common objective. I am sure I will like a lot Commons. I have recently gone to the es:Festival Internacional Cervantino / en:Festival Internacional Cervantino, and I have lots of photos to upload! Well..good night! tschüss!! (is that right?) --Tlilmiztli (talk) 04:13, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You meant this link, didn't you? Festival Internacional Cervantino
Yes, tschüss is correct! :-) ¡Hasta luego! --Saibo (Δ) 16:57, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No the link is in English and Spanish Wikipedia with the same name :) --Tlilmiztli (talk) 02:18, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I know - but your link is wrong (it is red, click on it). If you want to link to en or eswp do it like this: es:Festival Internacional Cervantino / en:Festival Internacional Cervantino. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 00:15, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great! Thanks again!!--Tlilmiztli (talk) 15:36, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tip: Categorizing images[edit]

Hello, Tlilmiztli!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.
