Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Cropped versions of existing files

Hello, is there a reason why you are creating so many cropped files of existing files? if that's for your personal use, you can crop them on your computer. I don't see that the files are being used anywhere in the movement, that's why I ask. Regards. Poco a poco (talk) 10:47, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi @Poco a poco Thanks for getting in touch and raising concerns about my recent image cropping. I appreciate your watchful eye on the Wikimedia projects. Yes, I understand that being a new contributor might raise some flags. I want to reassure you that my intentions are entirely good. I genuinely want to contribute to different Wikimedia projects. I realize I might have gone a bit overboard, and I appreciate your reminder to be more careful. Going forward, I'll be more mindful of my contributions. I'll only crop images with the clear aim of using them in relevant wiki articles or Wikidata items. Your feedback is valuable, and I'm thankful for your dedication to Wikimedia projects. Extract/Crops

May I make a comment? You have created an extract: File:Dülmen, Wildpark -- 2018 -- 3790 (cropped).jpg (and a lot more). That's fine, but you've forgotten the rework. When you create an extract, you must add your name to the author information (CC license). This is part of the license, because you made the change and you are responsible. You should also remove all references to awards, as these only apply to the original image. As a rule, you should also remove the user categories. Thank you. --XRay 💬 13:55, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Either way, please refrain from further cropping images. If there is no plausibel explanation for that, which I don't see, I'd consider it arbitrary and vandalism and therefore I'd have to block your account. Thank you for your understanding. Poco a poco (talk) 17:04, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
