Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

BSicons

Could you please stop flooding commons with nonsense BSicons as File:BSicon utHTUNNEL2.svg (tunnel in use, but track outside off use?!?), which are beyond that very badly named (prefix "t" means feature on tunnel track, but what's a tunnel inside a tunnel?!?). axp_de^Hello! 10:59, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

關於上傳 BSicon 圖標

T0118163 你好，最近，我發現你在上傳許多新的/修改過的鐵路系統圖標，包括KMW（千米標界）、ENDE（終點）和GRENZE（邊界）等圖標。你對此專題的熱誠，我們有所感激，但是，作為一名剛參與不久的用戶，你可能還不完全明白這我們上傳圖標所遵守的一些指引。我相信，你已經在中文維基百科中知悉一些相關的信息，包括使用前綴"e", "h", "ex" 等，大多數是以德語詞的縮寫編成的。不過，最重要的是，上傳的圖標不能只是為了填上圖標列表的空格，而是要滿足一些不少模板需要用到的，或者是在某些地方還沒有得到充分開發的圖標。一個簡單的例子：本人曾經見到許多軌道路線的模板中經常使用 + 這個混合式的圖標（地下高客量換乘站），但當時沒有現成的，就做了一個 圖標以方便用戶使用。同時，如果圖標產生空間問題（即存在現實中不能實現或看見的結構），像“高架地下通道”（），那就最好不要上傳它，因為它終究會沒人使用，並被刪除。

Hi! May I invite you to put your inputs regarding Talk:BSicon/Icon_geometry_and_SVG_code_neatness#Elevated_to_tunnel as User:Useddenim seems to implement a new standard towards some icons that is different from the existing ones. For uniformity's sake I have opened a discussion on whether how to tackle this and what should prevail. Your useful input would be very much appreciated. Mabuhay!
