Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hi Emha! You can be pretty sure that I will not upload the photo under a different name. Placing several similar photos of the same object is just pure redundancy for me. I really see little value in overfilling the database. I was recently nearby and I took a more updated photo with some better quality where the Gasometer is slightly better visible (no leafs on nearby trees), so I just wanted to help and improve. Using “Upload a new version” seemed OK for that, you can not only see then the actual version but also track back all the previous ones and everything just on one page. That sounds better than searching and comparing dozen of pages, isn’t it? Greetings! :) Szydzio (talk) 11:29, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Szydzio, sorry: no it isn't. Let me explain: a logo which you upload in the same shape but a better quality is okay. In this case of the Gasometer you made the version of the author invisible and un-usable. And as you write: your photo is different, beginning with the light and not ending with the leafs. Even the description wasn't right anymore in this version, because it's your photo visible and not Coradoline's one. We don't have a space problem and the "other version"-field in the Information-template shows, that's absolutely normal to have several versions of one motive. So don't be shy to upload your really better photo of the gasometer with your name as author and your chosen licence. Kindes regards, --Emha (talk) 11:59, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
