Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Please do not overwrite files

I noticed that you uploaded a file using the same name as another file, which already existed on Commons. Overwriting an existing file should not be done except when making minor, uncontroversial corrections, so the file has been restored to its previous version. If the file that you attempted to upload is within our project scope and is in the public domain or published under a free license, please upload it again under a different name. Thank you. Pronunciation file names

Please use language code prefix for pronunciation file names. See Category:French pronunciation for examples. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 16:15, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi Supevan, I've come to make the same request. For example, File:NB - Pronunciation of Norwegian Bokmål «absorpsjonsevnen».ogg should just be named File:nb-absorpsjonsevnen.ogg. Ultimateria (talk) 21:40, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Great! Also, audio files named this way are automatically imported to Wiktionary by User:DerbethBot, so you don't have to add them manually. Ultimateria (talk) 18:38, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
