Hey bud. First off, you should definitely go into your preferences, if you haven't already, and enable quick delete under gadgets, which gives you a whole slew of useful options. Second, with an image like there, where there is pretty overwhelming reason to believe that it's a copyright violation, you can skip DR and instead click "Report copyright violation" under tools (after you enable quick delete), and nominate the image for speedy deletion. Cheers. GMGtalk 16:07, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@GreenMeansGo: I was wondering if there was a Twinkle-like gadget. Thanks, that'll come in handy in future. Should I leave it at DR now it's there or speedy it too? Thanks, StraussInTheHouse (talk) 16:12, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Umm.. I don't guess it matters terribly. A lot of uncontroversial deletions on Commons seem to be more of a "motion and second" affair often only between the nominator and the admin, rather than a detailed community discussion. But overall nominating as an obvious copyvio seems to usually be quicker. GMGtalk 16:15, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey fella[edit]

Just realized there's only really a few weeks left until you can go our for SO. Here's to hopefully seeing you around soon. GMGtalk 20:08, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi GreenMeansGo, sorry for the delay, I've been unable to access a working computer for quite a while! Definitely, I'm looking forward to it. StraussInTheHouse (talk) 13:06, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. What's the problem? The file consists only of simple geometric shapes and text, like the {{PD-textlogo}} license... Danyele (talk) 18:15, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's a logo, it's best to get permission to avoid copyright claims. SITH (talk) 18:18, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Danyele, the threshold for originally for the United Kingdom is exceptionally low. Yes, for a work in the United States, this would easily be PD-textlogo. For these types of files from the UK, it's best to upload them locally on Wikipedia and use {{Do not move to Commons|reason=USonly}}. GMGtalk 18:20, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
