Retirement[edit]

I have quit editing Wikipedia because I have found that my experience here has been a net-negative. Perhaps when things start to change I may become involved again. - Stillwaterising (talk) 03:55, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A month has passed and I haven't seen much progress. I would like to see Com:Sex approved as policy before I will consider further contributions to Wikimedia. - Stillwaterising (talk) 11:30, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have rebooted my career with a new username. I only plan on using this account for medical imaging related uploads and discussions. - Stillwaterising (talk) 21:41, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have resumed editing on Wikinews under this username. I am still under agreement not to use only Technophant on enwiki.Stillwaterising (talk) 20:02, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Color MRI[edit]

Hi,

I described the Color MRI method in detail here DICOM issue is a bit complicated. You can do many things with free software. --Nevit Dilmen (talk) 16:34, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nevit Dilmen Awesome! I see you used GIMP. The free software that comes on the MRI disc has an easy way's to extract the DICOM images (with or without different text layers) to jpeg. That, along with a small freeware program and Irfanview is how I made that animated gif. I don't know if the different weighted images are all lined up. I think the T1, T2, etc. are made from the same data set with different image processing algorithms, yes?Stillwaterising (talk) 17:12, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
2 conditions: If the MRI technician does not change FOV and zoom during acquisitions AND if the patient do not move images will be aligned automatically. Sometimes they are from the same data set (which is preferable) sometimes they are not. (Slight chance of patient movement) I do not remember each image I posted. If your images are from the same data set you can be sure that there is no patient and internal organ movement. I just had DICOMS and Jpg's. No Raw data. --Nevit Dilmen (talk) 09:42, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
