Again I apologise if I am in the wrong place. Some folk have been very helpful to me e.g. SignBot below, Jeff G and Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing). I asked how I could contact them and Andy said - You can talk to me using the link in my "signature" (at the end of this comment). I clicked talk and got to a page but I couldn't see how to communicate here - no text box available. I tried 'Edit' and was able to leave a message but is this the right place. The discussion all seemed to be about William Pearn Image. I tired using the beginners tutorial but it does not tell novices how to communicate on the site. Thanks again for any help given. As a courtesy to other editors, it is Commons:Signatures policy to sign your posts on talk pages, user talk pages, deletion requests, and noticeboards. To do so, simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments. Your user name or IP address (if you are not logged in) and the date will then automatically be added along with a timestamp when you save your comment. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). Thank you.

Thank you SignBot - I thought the tildes meant substitute my name so thank you very much for the advice. I am slowly learning about this. Sparrowhedgerow (Sparrowhedgerow (talk) 21:09, 22 October 2021 (UTC))
