Nachholtermin 17. Fotoworkshop

es ist schon so viele Jahre her, dass wir uns in Nürnberg getroffen haben, wir (Ailura und ich) planten deshalb einen Fotoworkshop im Frühjahr 2019. Als wir erfuhren, dass Sebastian ebenfalls in Frühjahr ein BarCamp plant, entschlossen wir uns, zusammen zu arbeiten. Wir gliedern uns organisatorisch an diesem BarCamp an, sprich sind im gleichen Hotel, essen gemeinsam und nutzen ein Raum des Camps für unsere Fotovorträge, ähnlich wie auf der WikiCon 2011 in Nürnberg.
Wie Ihr vielleicht mitbekommen habt, ist Gnu zu seiner letzten Wanderung aufgebrochen, daher möchten auch wir seiner Gedenken.
Die weiteren Tage wollen wir gemeinsam ein Programm aus Fototouren und Vorträgen zusammenstellen, es ist noch viel Luft für Eure Ideen und Vorträge. Den geplanten ausführlichen LR Workshop wird zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt im Frühsommer ( WMDE gibt den Ort vor) stattfinden, da dieser sehr weit in die Tiefe gehen soll.
Ich würde mich freuen, Euch in Nürnberg begrüßen zu können, wundere Dich nicht über meine Nachricht auch wenn Du lange nichts mehr editiert hast, ich habe Deinen Namen aus den letzten FWS kopiert. ;)

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2018 is open!

You are receiving this message because we noticed that you voted in R1 of the 2018 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in the second round. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2018) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

In the final (and current) round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2018.
Round 2 will end 17 March 2019, 23:59:59.

Wiki Loves Monuments 2019
Hallo Smial,
bald ist es soweit: Vom 1. bis zum 30. September 2019 findet zum neunten Mal der internationale Wettbewerb Wiki Loves Monuments statt. Dabei können Bau- und Kulturdenkmale fotografiert und die Fotos hochgeladen werden. Du hast an einem der vergangenen Fotowettbewerbe teilgenommen. Deshalb laden wir dich ein, dieses Jahr wieder mitzumachen. Wir freuen uns auf deine Fotos!
Es sind viele spannende Motive überall in Deutschland zu fotografieren. Neben beeindruckenden märchenhaften Schlössern, Burgen und Kirchen können auch andere Kulturdenkmale wie Brücken, Industrieruinen, Bauernhöfe oder Parks fotografiert werden, um sie unter anderem in der Wikipedia zu dokumentieren. In den letzten Jahren sind zahlreiche neue Denkmallisten entstanden, die sich über Fotos freuen. Für die Suche nach Motiven gibt es bei Wikipedia zahlreiche Listen und Karten. Als Einstieg hilft diese Übersichtsseite. Weitere Informationen erhältst du auf der Mitmach-Seite.
Du bist interessiert, am Wettbewerb mitzuwirken, dir fehlt aber die richtige Technik? Dann wirf doch mal einen Blick in den Technikpool und das Technikleihportal von Wikimedia Deutschland! Dort findest du Kameras, Objektive und Zubehör verschiedenster Art. Sollte noch Technik fehlen, die aber in Zukunft unbedingt benötigt wird, dann freut sich Wikimedia Deutschland über dein Feedback zum Technikpool.
Außerdem laden wir Dich ein, ab Mitte September 2019 an der Vorjury teilzunehmen. Diese bewertet die hochgeladenen Bilder und ermittelt so gemeinsam mit der Jury, die im Oktober tagt, die Sieger von Wiki Loves Monuments 2019 in Deutschland. Das Vorjurytool ist hier bald freigeschaltet. Du benötigst dafür nur deinen Benutzernamen und das Passwort.

Weihnachtsstreß
Man findet sie mit Google noch nicht. Es gibt nur einen Altstädter Ring in Prag und weltweit nur noch eine kurze Straße in Berlin, die diesen Namen hat. Das ist also schon eindeutig benannt und kategorisiert, Verwechslungen ausgeschlossen. Daß da gleich 3 Kontra von Savin kamen, war wie ein Ritterschlag, dann müssen die Bilder gut sein. Ob die als QI ausgezeichnet sind, ist mir sowas von egal. Alle drei werden als Auftragswerk in deutlich fünfstelliger Auflage als Postkarten gedruckt, das ist mir wichtig. Ich wollte nur etwas Weihnachtsstimmung nach QIC bringen, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. FPC und QIC sind doch längst zu Lachnummern geworden. Wenn die Lizenz als alleiniges Kriterium ausschlaggebend ist, Kontras kommen, weil eine englische Beschreibung fehlt, ein Konzertbild oder ein 50 Jahre alter Scan (!) rauscht usw. Wenn Leute kraft ihres Adminamtes andere bedrohen, kann man das Ganze eigentlich nur noch meiden. Ich lade ja sowieso kaum noch was hoch, von QIC werde ich jetzt auch die Finger lassen. Es gibt Leute, mit denen streite ich mich einfach nicht herum. Und du gehörst ganz ausdrücklich nicht dazu! Commons braucht mich nicht, ich brauche aber auch Commons nicht. - Immerhin waren deine Weihnachtsmarktbilder im Gegensatz zu gewissen anderen äußerst respektabel. Was brichst du dir denn dabei ab, drei, vier Wörter Bildbeschreibung hinzuzufügen? Dann wäre mein "pro" sicher gewesen. Es gibt schon genug Diskussionen um die Auslegung der eigentlichen QI-Kriterien, die einen bestehen auf buchstabengetreue Erfüllung dersleben (kennen aber den Unerschied zwischen "must", "shoud" und "may" nicht), die anderen reiten ihr jeweiliges Steckenpferd (besonders beliebt: Noise, Downscaling, Perspective correction) bis es tot darniederliegt. Da muß man doch wegen ein paar unaufwendig zu ergänzenden Beschreibungszeilen, die objektiv für Nachnutzer und Suchfunktionen vorteilhaft wären, nicht noch ein Pferd tot reiten. --Smial (talk) 18:57, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Ich habe ja nachgebessert: [1]. Ich meinte, das ist ausreichend und klar verwechslungssicher. Klar, da können noch Leute kommen, die "blau beleuchteter Weihnachtsbaum" oder "gelb beleuchtete Fassade" als Kategorie finden aber sowas ist in meinen Augen optional. Dein Kontra hat mich nicht im Geringsten gestört, deshalb habe ich nicht abgebrochen. Ist auch etwas Betriebsblindheit, für mich ist der Altstädter Ring klar in Prag wie der Eiffelturm in Paris, das weiß aber offenbar nicht jeder, mein Ossifehler. Ich hatte einfach keine Lust auf den "Consensual Review" (Google Translate nennt das Einvernehmliche Überprüfung...). Nimms bitte nicht persönlich! --Ralf Roletschek 19:32, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
