Jean-Joseph Bananéa de Mondonville in VI

Hi Slaunger,
Yes, I've noticed something wrong with this file, probably somebody have mixed cocaïn and bananas Clin, I receive every day two or three notifications about this picture. I did not see the file page before your notification, but I find this very funny.
As I don't know what to do, I just wait that the rain stop...
By the way, if you don't know this musician, try to discover him, especially the "motets" by William Christie, I'm sure you will enjoy: typical french baroque choirs.
Thanks for compliments about the 300 VI, I am very proud of this, because it is the result of a very hard job with old pictures I'm fan of. I've discovered this since the beginning of this year, and I'm very happy with this new passion (one can find happiness in restoring old images....)
For sure, many others will follow !
Cheers !--Jebulon (talk) 21:10, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi Jebulon,
Great that you plan that many new VIs are to follow!
I hope the rain has stopped. At least we have had quite some heavy showers here in Denmark today.
I did not know Mondonville, by I have found the "Grand Motets" you mention by William Christie on my music streaming service, and I am listening to it right now, Dominus regnavit. Very pleasant to listen to, I like it! Thanks for enlightening me with some French Baroque music. Maybe, someday, I will no longer be a self-proclaimed cultural ignorant, who easily gets bored. If you keep on educating me, that isClin. --Slaunger (talk) 21:00, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi Slaunger. I just received this message on my talkpage, but it's really more relevant to you. I vaguely remember this from en:FPC a few years back. Could well be that this image can be deleted anyway as it seems that there's several versions, however this version is used in a few spots on various Wikis. Perhaps you'd like to consolidate them, or otherwise respond to the issue. Hope all goes well. Regards, --jjron (talk) 03:40, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. Responded on your talk page. --Slaunger (talk) 19:35, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
Sounds like you don't have too many fond memories of WP:FPC. :) Yes, looks like I might have missed the original license. I thought someone must have inadvertently removed it, but checking the history looks like I never attached it. Weird. I usually just copy the whole image page text and add a note about the edit, so don't know how that happened. And why it took four years for anyone to realise... Anyway, all sorted now. Fairly busy IRL so not editing all that frequently, looks like you are a bit irregular too at the moment. Heading off to the Top End in the near future, so will be interesting to see what sort of snaps I can get up there. --jjron (talk) 13:30, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

Appropriately Licensed

You participated at the earlier discussion on licence choice for Featured Pictures. A number of users felt that such restrictions should be made at policy level. Please comment at Commons:Requests for comment/AppropriatelyLicensed. This is a proposal to amend this licence policy to disallow future uploads where the sole licence is inappropriate for the media (e.g., GFDL for images). In earlier discussions there were a number of comments that, while reasonable opinions, did not align with Wikimedia's mission for free content. Please read the FAQ before commenting. Thanks -- Colin (talk) 23:01, 15 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your attempts; although I've not much hope. :( JKadavoor Jee 05:38, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

Strongly seconded. I have slightly more hope. — Scott talk 13:49, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
You're welcome. I hope for a good resolution as well. I feel the reputation of Commons is at stake. --Slaunger (talk) 15:39, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
