Wikibreak?

Hi Slaunger, I remember you were up for a fresh start, and took "busy" template off your talk page, and then suddenly that break... I am not sure why you're taking wiki break, and of course it is none of my busyness, but, if it has something to do with me, may I please ask you to come right back? As I said quite a few times already, I would like nobody to leave commons or even to take a break because of me. Of course, if it has nothing to do with me, may I please ask you to ignore the message? I just believed that I'd better say it, so I did.Of course you may delete my message, if you'd rather do--Mbz1 (talk) 04:24, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi Mila, I don't mind your question at all. For me, editing at Commons is an activity which competes with many other activities, so it happens quite frequently for me that other activities get higher in my list of priorities. For instance, I had a long and extended break for several months a year ago or so. I am an just in one of those periods right now. Currently I am involved in another project, which is challenging, interesting and fun for me to do. It is a project I have in my mind a large percentage of my spare time. Moreover, I am behind schedule on that project, so I am prioritizing. Moreover, my motivation for participating here is currently in a time-localized minimum. Does this have anything to do with you? Yes, it has something to do with our recent interactions and also how you have portrayed me in various discussions. I do not feel like detailing it more here in public, but if you would like to know more specifically, what I am thinking about it, i can send you a mail? But that's not all, it has also been discouraging to spend very much time trying to convince Fir0002 that it would be reasonable to make sure his licenses and license changes complied with Commons policies. His sudden retirement has felt a bit like a slap in the face. Last, but not least, I think that standards at COM:FPC are heading in the wrong direction currently, and I do not see any will from the Community to do something about it. Everyone seems to be afraid that raising standards will make it harder for them to get their contributions promoted, not realizing that what we feature is very often so much below the standards of the best photos on, e.g., flickr, and if we want to be taken seriously, as a media site, our very best material needs to be more professional.
Side issue: Did you ever receive the email I send you on September 7?--Slaunger (talk) 11:09, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi Slaunger, I took off mention about you from my comments on my 2+2=4 talk page. I believe it was the only place I could have taken it off without removing your and other people contributions. If you believe, I should delete all contest that mentions you from my talk page, I will. My opinion on the matter stays the same. Nothing has changed, but I said many times before that if I feel somebody left Commons because of me I would do everything to bring the person back, so I would like to live up to my promise. I've never got your email because I blocked your email address after your last one. I was so hurt, and I was not ready to get hurt again. Sorry. I removed the block now. If you'd like to email, me please do, but I would like to tell you that now I am in need of kind words, not harsh words. I am glad you have an interesting project to do.--Mbz1 (talk) 13:41, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi Mila, thank you for your courtesy blanking of that section. I am sorry that we got into all this hurt-thing, but I am glad that you have unblocked my email address, such that we could have a constructive off-line talk about this (as we have had). Above all, I greatly appreciate this! --Slaunger (talk) 17:37, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
Welcome back!--Mbz1 (talk) 04:08, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Would you allow us to use your photo in a documentary about Lego Brick?

Hello!

My name is Flavie David, I work for a paris-based production company named Steamboat films. We're currently working on a documentary about the Lego Brick in which we would like to include your picture Sorte_broedre_kirke_viborg_2007-11-10.jpg. It will be aired on french/german cultural channel ARTE.

Would you kindly grant us the permission to use it?

Please contact me at flavie@steamboatfilms.com for more information. I know you're busy but this is a bit urgent as our editing has already begun.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Best,

Flavie
