Jameslwoodward What is the problem here? This is an organization which seeks to upload files that it owns to Commons. Commons does not have an accepted policy on this, unlike for example English Wikipedia. Can you please unblock this account so that I can assist this group in verifying its identity and confirming the copyright status of some of its files here? Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:01, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No. Organizations do not have accounts on Commons, people do. Part of Commons is building relationships with individuals so that you can trust their judgement and actions. That is not possible if an account is used by more than one person. .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 19:16, 9 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Offside Rule – explained in two minutes.webm. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

Thanks for uploading File:Bhutan's Gross National Happiness – explained in a simple way.webm. The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Bhutan's Gross National Happiness – explained in a simple way.webm]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

@Jameslwoodward: Hi Jim, since there is still no clear decision on this issue, I'd like to ask you what I can do in order you can "unblock" the simpleshow foundation account? Would it be enough to re-name the account to e.g. "simpleshow foundation - Maria"? There was / is only one person (me) at our foundation responsible for the upload of the videos. The reason we decided (after several conversations with Wikipedian) to name the account "simpleshow foundation" is the nature of the video production itself. There are many people involved into the production process, but only the script author and simpleshow foundation as "producer" are mentioned in the closing frame. To open a new account is a bad option for us, because we'd like to have all contributions in one place. Thank you in advance for your support. --Simpleshow foundation (talk) 14:13, 9 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
"User:Simpleshow Foundation - Maria" would be fine, if that's the way you want to go. .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 13:09, 11 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Jameslwoodward: Hi Jim, yes if there is no other option in the moment (for an organization), I'll prefer this "Simpleshow Foundation - Maria". I couldn't find the way to change the username. Can you help me to do this? Thanks. --Simpleshow foundation (talk) 13:08, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please request at Special:GlobalRenameRequest. Blue Rasberry (talk) 14:40, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your file has been nominated for a Media of the Day.

Your contribution to this project has been noticed. A file Mysimpleshow How brain jogging helps your memory.webm, which was uploaded by you, has been nominated to be displayed on the Main Page of this project as a Media of the Day. You can view this and other nominations at Commons talk:Media of the day. It is always a good idea to let other contributors know when you think your file would look good as a featured media file, provide descriptions in different languages, and perhaps spread the joy by nominating media of other uploaders, that you believe deserve that. ℺ Gone Postal ( ) 12:30, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
