Comment[edit]
In regards to your comment on enwiki - I was banned rather summarily on 1 October. The Haaretz piece was published online on 2 October (in Hebrew - [1]) and was the cover piece in the magazine supplement on the 4 October weekend edition. Note that magazine supplements (as opposed to the news section which is printed during the night prior to circulation), particularly in a holiday period, are printed well in advance of circulation. The English edition - [2] - went online on 4 October (Pieces translated between the Hebrew and English side of Haaretz often lag - though IIRC this was more of a 24 hour lag than a 48 hour one - the English piece also has subsequent additions - e.g. the ban IIRC - that aren't in the Hebrew print). All this easily verifiable by yourself. I agreed to give an interview on 11 September (3 weeks prior) (possibly prompted by this FRN post in late August or adjacent Signpost pitch - [3]) followed by this essay (drafted on my talk - here). So no - this was not a reaction to anything. Icewhiz (talk) 13:19, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
