Photos of trains

[edit]

Hi, friend. I've noted that you added some pictures tagged as {{CC-AR-Presidency}} but with no clear sources but a generic link (http://www.prensa.argentina.ar/). Moreover, some images such as this file had previously published on different websites (p.e. this, this (from Twitter).
It'd better if you could give the exact link where the photo was taken from in order to determine its copyright status. Otherwise, the image should be nominated for deletion. Please fell free to write me if you need further assistance. Thanks, Fma12 (talk) 22:49, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! These are all taken from the press gallery at http://prensa.argentina.ar/multimedia.php?tipo=F&ministerio=5&filtroTextoMulti=&x=6&y=7 - according to the template, they should be CC-BY-SA since they were taken from a Presidencia de La Nacion website and are images made available for use by the press. I'll go through these images and add the apropriate (specific) links when I have time, and make sure to do so from now on. SegataSanshiro1 (talk) 02:11, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

LicenseReview

[edit]

Hi, Could you please add a {{LicenseReview}} tag when importing files from another website, so that someone can check the license? i.e. [1]. Thanks, Yann (talk) 11:46, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What's the point of doing that when you just delete pictures without properly understanding what they are or consulting with the original uploader? I don't think I'll bother, I'd rather just keep uploading illustrative images which improve encyclopaedic content and not satisfy the whims some intellectual property nazi. . RE: Pictures from website

[edit]

Hi! I'm glad they are useful :D I'll track them and upload the original resolution photo if necesary. If you need a photo from some place here in Buenos Aires City, just ask me and i will try to shot it.--Mauricio V. Genta (talk) 13:55, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mauricio! Sorry for the late reply, I don't check the commons talk page often.
That's a very kind offer! Normally, we are lacking pictures of new things (underpasses, rolling stock, renovated stations, etc.) since most of these pictures either have copyright or are from the National Government so are intended for PR and not really appropriate for Wikipedia normally. A few things off the top of my head are the Roca Line electrification works, pictures of CSR train interiors and Urquiza Line Lazroze terminal and rolling stock. With the Subte, I would one day like to do an article on its rolling stock and would need good pictures for each, but this is difficult since they are constantly restored and there's different variants in circulation. In any case, I am already very grateful for the other pictures so none of these are needed, but if you ever use one of these lines and have a camera then feel free :) SegataSanshiro1 (talk) 18:52, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm working on a big project with the Subte, with a little of lucky i will realease lots of pictures this year :). I made a article about the rolling stock...but i still have lots of problems finding photos and references. I cannot make promises about underpasses, renovated stations, the roca and urquiza lines, but i want to do it (i love trains!), i just need to find time!.--Mauricio V. Genta (talk) 02:59, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That's very good news! I have done quite a lot of work on the Subte over at enwiki, but still missing up-to-date pictures so look forward to your work! I am also working on bringing your article over and working on a table if you want to have a look here (there's still a lot of information missing). GCBA photos

[edit]

Hi, Just to let you know that all the pictures taken from the Government of Buenos Aires (GCBA) main web or GCBA Flickr don't need a {{Flickrreview}} tag so there is a specific Commons template for that content: {{CC-AR-GCBA}}.

Use this directly and avoid messages from admin. ;) Have a good day ! - Fma12 (talk) 16:47, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! :) SegataSanshiro1 (talk) 18:52, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Las Heras Station

[edit]

Hi! I just wanted to let you know i've uploaded photos from Las Heras Station of the H Line. Here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Las_Heras_%28Subte_de_Buenos_Aires%29 --Mauricio V. Genta (talk) 01:44, 16 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicated Files

[edit]

Hello again! I´m sorry but i nominated five of my photos for deletion, because they where duplicates (i uploaded them in commons before than in my site), but i already replaced the files in the EN Wiki :). I will upload some photos from the Line E in a few hours, i have some free days this month and i will use them to go under and overground, specially to get better pictures for the Wiki. --Mauricio V. Genta (talk) 04:56, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That's no problem, I hadn't realised! Thanks for fixing the mess as well. I look forward to the new pictures, hopefully I'll have more time to get back to editing a bit more as well. SegataSanshiro1 (talk) 05:46, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New template for Argentine railways

[edit]

Hi! Just to let you know that I've created the template for the Argentine railways by year, {{Railtransportyear-Argentina}} which allows user to include the evolution of the railway year by year.

P.e. in a 1939 photo, you should add the category: 1939 in rail transport in Argentina and to include the tag with the numbers in the category page, as follows:

Railtransportyear-Argentina|193|9 (between brackets {{ }} )

This automatically creates all the categories for public transport. It seems a bit difficult but it's really easy when you get used to add to the photos. If you have some question, don't hesitate to contact me. Regards! Fma12 (talk) 13:41, 1 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Very nice! Thanks :) SegataSanshiro1 (talk) 20:06, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Old new photo

[edit]

Hello! Are you sure that this photo was taken in the late 1950s? Or is is a photo taken on an undetermined date showing a vehicle created in the late 1950s? The colors don’t look like the 1950s at all, and zebra crossings were not yet in use by then in BAs, I think. If this is not accurately dated, the premission you applied may be incorrect, and this file should be subjected to a DR. -- Tuválkin 11:27, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
