Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Hej Søren1997, Jeg ved ikke hvor du har kortet File:-Hadsund_1901.png fra ? - men det er ikke fra det angivne kort i Frems Amtskort over Danmark: I 26 Blade i Størrelse 1:200 000 samt 73 Byplaner hvor det kort der dækker området ser sådan ud: File:Hjoerring og Aalborg Amter.jpg, og er en anden målestok, og er fra før der blev bygget bro over Mariager Fjord. Såfremt der rent faktisk er tale om kort-materiale fra frie kort skal {{DGA map}} påføres både dato for hvornår data er hentet fra geodatastyrelsen, samt hvilket datasæt der er brugt jf. Geodatastyrelsens vilkår. Såfremt der ikke er tale om frie kort, skal {{DGA map}} fjernes og der skal påsættes et andet gyldigt licensmærke ({{PD-1923}} må ikke stå alene). Det skal jeg fortælle dig her: Jeg klikker på knappen PrintScr på computeren og så ligger jeg billedet ind i Microsoft Office Publisher hvor jeg så ligger dem sammen til et kort, og så gemmer jeg kortet på computeren og lægger det op på Wikipedia. Godt. Det du så gør, er at du fjerner den nuværende {{DGA map}} og indsætter {{DGA map|1=2013-01-10|2=Målebordsblade 1928-1940 (M20L_628_56)}} under licens-overskriften. Må jeg ved samme lejlighed anbefale, at du bruger de frie kort som de er tiltænkt anvendt og ikke selv "finder på". Det har været lidt af et detektiv-arbejde at finde ud af hvilket datasæt der rent faktisk ligger til grund for kortet, sammeholdt med at du kunne have fået det "af dig selv", hvis du havde sat dig lidt ind i den distributionsmodel der ligger for frie kort... Dit luftfoto du fik fra den hjemmeside over mariagerfjord rensningsanlæg bliver måske slettet. Du, skriver Anja kun gav tilladelse til at det kan bruges på wikipedia. 1: Det, er både på wikipedia og på commons, og hvis det skal være på dansk wikipedia skal det også være på commons. 2: Betingelsen, er for stram. Pt. kan man kun bruge det på wikipedia, hvis ret skal være ret. Men, når et billede er på commons betyder det fx. jeg skal have lov til at bruge det gratis i en reklame for en hjemmeside, uden at spørge bare jeg krediterer fotografen eller hjemmesiden for billedet, og at andre godt må lave modificeringer af det. Enten, skal du forhandle med hende igen, om vilkårerene og samtidig forklare mere tydeligt hvad det betyder når et billede er på commons, eller også er der nok nogne der vil slette det. Måske, fordi hun ikke ved hvad det vil sige at ændre betingelserne. Send hende det her link (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.da), som fortæller hvad det vil sige i praksis for udenforstående peroner, at frigive materiale til licensen og spørg om det ville være iorden. Det, kan næppe forklares bedre. Og, filer kan kun lægges op på lokale wikier, som tillader Fair Use-lovgivningen.
