Notification about possible deletion[edit]

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Mr. Woodward, The content was not the same. Not only did I change the dimensions of the photographs, but I also changed the meta data to reflect public use. Since the photos were cropped, they are, essentially, different photographs. I went to your page and saw all of your photographs and realized that OTRS was good for everyone, to be applied equally, and that the standard you are holding me to, you should be held to yourself. After all, I posted the images on my company FB page that you can verify to my name. You just have a username which really means nothing in the scheme of things.

Sealle, I hope you back me in asking for the OTRS requests for Mr. Woodward so that we may ensure fairness and equal application of the policies for everyone. Ruphotog (talk) 11:30, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

Hi, Please do not create revenge deletion requests, or you may be blocked. Thanks, Yann (talk) 12:07, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Our policy is to Assume Good Faith unless there is reason not to. Thus, my images and almost 34,000,000 others are on Commons without OTRS because there is no reason to believe that the uploaders were acting incorrectly. Your images, on the other hand, have EXIF that showed an author whose name is different from the uploader. That is very typical of images that have been taken off the Web without permission, so when we see such cases, we take action to protect the rights of the actual copyright holder. .     Jim . . . . What you are saying is if I change my screen name, from RUphotog to OlgaLeonova, I can upload them without going through the hassle of you deleting my stuff? It is the screen name? I think you are just being foolish. Would you expect my name really to be RU Photog? So, anyone else that uses a screen name instead of their real name will be forced to do OTRS? Okay, I will start going through and finding everyone who uses a screen name to flag their content. This way, we can be fair. In addition, I think you are patently hypocritical. What if I change the meta data to show RUPhotog? Is that acceptable? To Yann, these are not revenge deletes, simply holding everyone to the same standard. You find me one place these were used on the web. Just one place. And then I will buy your good faith argument. But they haven't been used on the web. So, please explain to me how RU photog (which stands for Russian Photographer) is not Olga Leonova. Please tell me how you know this. OMG, I just read an obituary for James L Woodward. I think you should prove your identity because I suspect the real photographer passed away in 2015. Ruphotog (talk) 13:06, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
