User talk:Roger Davies
Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki - it is really easy. More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons. You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing. |

Image deletion warning | Image:Flanders_Field_American_Cemetary_and_Memorial.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

- I happened upon your deletion request for this image and tagged the image as a {{Duplicate}}; it should soon be speedily deleted. If you should, though, encounter a similar issue in the future, you may save yourself the trouble of appending the {{Delete}} tag and completing the DR request simply by applying the {{Badname}} tag to an unused image you've uploaded under the wrong name or in the wrong form for which a duplicate exists. You may use the {{Duplicate}} tag in similar situations relative to images for which you are not the uploader. Just thought I'd let you know... Cheers, Jahiegel 05:14, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Hello, and thank your for sharing your files with Commons. There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. Please remember that all uploads require source, author and license information. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you. --Siebrand 15:07, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit]You'll remember that during my Arbitration Committee process in 2011 you emailed me claiming to have found Usenet posts dating to the 1990s that incriminate me as a paedophile. Leaving aside the Wikipedia policy en:WP:USENET, both I and the people with whom I am now working need to have sight of those Usenet posts. As an experienced user, you will be aware that the "From:" field in a Usenet header is easy to spoof; less easy to forge is the "Path:" field, because it is automatically added as a Usenet post travels through the system. I deny that those posts emanate from me, so your evidence does need to include those headers for analysis. Looking forward to your reply. Rodhullandemu (talk) 23:32, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Have you found these yet? Time is pressing. Rodhullandemu (talk) 16:41, 20 April 2021 (UTC)
