Not all bank branches are "bank buildings"[edit]

I'd be careful using the term "building", when it comes to banks that are just branches. Category:Commonwealth Bank branch, Wagga Wagga is just that (reason why I created another category, as you lumped them into single category linked below), a branch (the building itself was never built for the Commonwealth Bank, it was originally built for a real estate agent), while Category:Commonwealth Bank building, Wagga Wagga was built for the Commonwealth Bank. I hear you; and thanks for your local knowledge. It's interesting that the Commonwealth Bank branch, Wagga Wagga is a sub-category of Bank buildings in Wagga Wagga, Commonwealth Bank of Australia buildings in New South Wales, and Buildings in Wagga Wagga (suburb). And the same categories apply for Commonwealth Bank building, Wagga Wagga. My efforts in recent days were focused on the four major banks nationally to create consistent sub-categories across each state/territory. Keep up the great work in the Riverina. BTW, are you interested in helping with the NSW State Heritage Register rollout. Categories[edit]

Take care in not to over categorise, subcats Category:Greenway Wing (Supreme Court of New South Wales) and Category:Old Registry Wing (Supreme Court of New South Wales) had the very same categories as the parent Category:Supreme Court of New South Wales. I have removed them for now but thinking the whole structure will need to change but at least addressed one issue.

That being, Category:Supreme Court of New South Wales having the "Courthouses in Sydney", "Buildings in the Sydney Central Business District", "Supreme courts by country", and "Buildings in the Sydney Central Business District". The streets "Queen's Square, Sydney", "Phillip Street, Sydney" and "Elizabeth Street, Sydney" being more related to the building (since which the two historic and single modern buildings are on some of the streets. Two historic categories would have "Sydney CBD buildings on the New South Wales State Heritage Register", the architect(s), date built (if known) and the architectural style. This would mostly resolve the over categorisation issue (some would argue that the streets would be over cat). Hope that makes sense. Bidgee (talk) 13:55, 27 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Point taken and understood. I was getting tired. The SCNSW hasn’t always and won’t always sit in the buildings surrounding Queens Square; so there is some risk with the approach adopted. My thoughts are the SCNSW needs to be a holding category for SCNSW buildings, people, by decade, etc. Then for the buildings (my current focus), we should use the existing categories for location, architect, style, year completed/demolished, heritage status, materials, etc. Thoughts? Category: St Andrew's Cathedral School[edit]

Howdy. Thanks for your message. The old debate between independent school and private school. I’m trying to reclassify all schools in Australia that have been classified in their hierarchy as private schools to independent schools; across both Wikipedia and Wikimedia.
