Hello, Pusleogpixi!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Sletning[edit]

--Dannebrog Spy (talk) 21:40, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You've uploaded a derivative work We're sorry, but File:Viborg Amt udsnit.JPG has been marked as a copyright violation. For more information, please read Commons:Derivative works and Commons:Freedom of panorama.

The file you added will soon be deleted. If you believe this image is not a derivative work, please explain why on the image description page.

--Dannebrog Spy (talk) 22:03, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign
This media was probably deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Christina_Pedersen2.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded (:File:Christina_Pedersen2.jpg) and the above demanded information in your request.

Hey. Hvad er problemet! - det er mig der har taget billedet. Se alle de andre jeg har uploadet! --Pusleogpixi (talk) 01:05, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I do not want more problems with commons. If you can not accept the pictures I take and upload, without all your weird bureaucracy, please delete ALL of them I've put up ... so I did not bother to contribute to the commons more and so I prefer all the permissions back! Simply!

Author is Lars Schmidt not Pusleogpixi and Pixi Uno, so special permission should be sent. Everything is written above. JDavid (talk) 01:16, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am Lars Schmidt!!! If you can not accept this, please delete ALL the pictures I've uploaded ... so I will no longer spend my time taking pictures to commons, to the delight of many! --Pusleogpixi (talk) 01:18, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
But why does information be not written anywhere (here or Danish Wikipedia)? And your last name (Lars Schmidt) is not linked to you User:Pusleogpixi. If there is any doubts ... In all cases the uploader must [..] demonstrate either that the file [..] the copyright owner has released. Remember. JDavid (talk) 01:28, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Because I do not want my full name mentioned on Wikipedia ... we have had unfortunate incidents in Danish Wikipedia where admins have been harassed, that's why! If you look at my history on da-wiki, you will discover that it was deleted in 2009 when my name was on the profile at the beginning! If you still think I should write my full name, please delete ALL images I've uploaded! NOW! - and then you can delete my profile here on Commons! Thanks! --Pusleogpixi (talk) 01:36, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Before marking file I've checked [1]. I don't have permission to look in your deleted history in Danish Wikipedia to see your full name. If there is no sign that Pusleogpixi is Lars Schmidt, you shouldn't be surprised, that somebody can think that Pusleogpixi has taken files from Lars Schmidt without permission. Please think logically. If you present your full name in Commons, but you don't want present it in Danish Wikipedia, I think is really strange because is so simply to track and find that something connect you by harassing people. However please link nickname to full name and there will be no problem in the future. Thank You. JDavid (talk) 01:54, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
There have been no problems before you saw the 2 pictures with Christina Pedersen ... Why have others not marked at all the other pictures I've uploaded - just a few minutes before? I think logically, but I am also thinking that I would not bothered because my full name is listed under my "profile name". What will be the end of it here? Should I write my full name, or delete all the pictures I have uploaded, incl. my profile? You can accept images as they are now, or you can begin to erase ALL! NOW! --Pusleogpixi (talk) 02:07, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
