Hi Psy guy. I guess you are the photographer of Image:Snow Scene at Shipka Pass 1.JPG, but just so it's totally clear, please say so there. Thanks, User:dbenbenn 04:22, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POTY 2006 competition[edit]

The arrangements for the Commons Picture of the Year 2006 competition are almost complete, and voting will take place between 1st and 28th Feb. All the featured pictures promoted last year are automatically nominated. As the creator of one or more images nominated for the election we invite you to participate in the event. You're going to need some kind of proof, such as a court decision where the court determined that Huber owns the Rorschach blots, because it's clear that if they were made by Rorschach then they are out of copyright. 209.77.205.2 18:42, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PsyGuy, Is your online moniker how you want to be credited if someone uses your images? Thanks, S170.140.8.21 14:15, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Psy guy!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Hi Psy Guy, I would like to use your photo of the Kazanlak tomb. How do you wish to be cited exactly? Thanks!
