Thanks for fixing them. I had a bot fix most of them and scheduled it to run several times a day. Could fix a couple because of conflicting edits so the category has to be fixed too. Multichill (talk) 18:52, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Are you aware of this policy? Probably not, because otherwise you wouldn't have nominated File:David Teniers (II) (copy of) - Drinkers.jpg and File:Pieter Lucaszn van de Venne with Anna de Carpentier 1652 van der Helst.jpg. Multichill (talk) 17:30, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @Multichill: Are you sure I made a mistake by nominating a picture taken from a museum's page with the information "All rights reserved"? I proofed these images and I think they were taken from British Museum(?). I do this for every picture – see following list.
- I prefer Template:Art photo in these cases, so one can drop object PD rights and photo CC rights to file informations. I mean the original object is PD-Art, no doubt, but the uploaded images are not taken by the author, they are a 1:1 copy from the museum page and sometimes a third party, the professional photograph is the owner of the rights, or – see above – they indicate their copyrights.
- If I am realy wrong, you are able to undelete these files. In this case, please inform me, so I do no further check PD / CC of uploads by user 2A02A03F. Hope to read you –Plagiat (talk) 18:34, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- Please re-read the PD-art policy page. The whole point it that we don't care if anyone claims "All rights reserved" on a faithful production of a 2D work in the public domain. So yes, I'm sure you made a mistake. Also read en:Bridgeman Art Library v. Corel Corp. to get some background information. Multichill (talk) 18:39, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- okay, we all are learning –Plagiat (talk) 18:43, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- I sure hope so. Commons has quite the learning curve! Enjoy the ride :-) Multichill (talk) 18:58, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
{{occupation|jesuit|f}} : jesuit
